Surprise! Appendix album released

Appendix is Bullets in a Burning Box' web-only, morphing album of Afear remixes. Akin to An Exit, these songs bare teeth and yet you want to play. Come dance the dance of a fighting dog.

Second song on the album is "Aarons Ra," a footloose, orgasmic companion. Is that a victor roaring bottom of the canyon?

This "album", nay kaleidoscope, of music, is littered with commas. "Aepypterus" makes me wonder "WTF? Did I just witness a car wreck or a drum solo?"

In desert mirage fashion, NMW will be releasing a few more of these.. these.. appendice? appendixes?

Along your parched path through the inferno, there shall be.. oasi? oasises? .. damn! .. Patches of potable water (speaking metaphorically -- and prophetically -- of the release of multi-track WAV files for your remixing pleasure).

Nine Ninths Jealous - Live Looping

NMW of Bullets in a Burning Box rehearsing the song "Nine Ninths Jealous" for an upcoming party on the boat studio Lotus. He plays a Steinberger guitar and uses Ableton Live 8 with an ancient Powerbook for live looping. The drums are recorded beforehand on a Trigger Finger using Logic. Yes, this video was filmed on the boat.. Thank the vicious, sweet Sea for allowing (for once).

Announcing "Eye Love"!

"Eye Love", Bullets in a Burning Box' latest single, has a dark "umph." It braids languidly around the broken rods of its own passionate semblance of a pole until it becomes once again, jointed.

In the same way that the prior sentence is likely a run-on, the song seems to linger just a bit too long. Though, fans have called it "badass", "cool" and "thumpable." According to one -- entirely mislead -- fan, it "sounds as if the singer wants something just beyond his reach."

"Eye Love" is a preview of Bullets' upcoming sophomore album, being scribbled on resinous scraps of paper by gremlins cavorting deep within the cave-shaft of your cortex, due in late 2009. According to NMW of Bullets, the album will be "a scythe disguised as a baby rattle."

You want lyrics to "Eye Love"? Cross your fingers that they are actually real.

In an eager -- admittedly unrequitable -- way, anyone may listen to "Eye Love" before everyone else does.
